It is mainly used in aerospace, automotive industry, electronics, electrical, and instrumentation fields.
1. Aerospace field: It can be processed into various high-precision aircraft components. Due to its hydrolysis resistance, damage resistance, and good flame retardancy, it can be used to manufacture internal/external aircraft parts and many engine components.
2. Automotive manufacturing: PEEK has been successfully used in the automotive manufacturing industry. Due to its excellent friction resistance, it can replace metals (including stainless steel and titanium) to produce engine covers, automotive bearings, seals, and brake pads.
3. Industrial field: Due to its good mechanical properties, high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, and ability to withstand high pressure, it is often used to manufacture compressor valve plates, piston rings, seals, etc.
4. Medical and surgical instruments: It can withstand 3,000 cycles of high pressure at 134°C, making it suitable for manufacturing high-demand, reusable medical, surgical, and dental equipment.
